The Miracle of Aditya Hridaya Stotra | Know its Secret Power

The Miracle of Aditya Hridaya Stotra | Know its Secret Power

Natural forces such as the earth, fire, wind, and others are revered as gods in our culture. Surya or Surya Deva is one among them. Because of his son Aditi, he is also known as Aditya and is regarded as the pillar of life on Earth.

As a result, the Aditya Hridaya Stotra is one of the most powerful hymns ever written. It is devoted to Surya Deva and repeated by those who, according to astrology, have a weak Sun or are undecided.

What does the legend have to say about it?

You’re probably asking what this has to do with the reasons for reciting the Strota. Some solutions, though, are better communicated via the lens of history. It is set during the mythical Ramayan era, notably during Ram’s final battle with Ravana.

It is said that Lord Ram tried everything he could to defeat and slay Ravana, but it was all in vain. Lord Rama was distraught and disturbed by his inability to kill his foe, and he felt nothing but exhaustion and disappointment.

He prayed to his best in this enthralling time. As he did so, Agastya, the wise, appeared in front of him. He showed up with the intention of reviving Rama. He then instructed him to recite the aditya hridaya stotra and offer his prayers to Lord Surya. As a result, Ram felt energized and was ready for the decisive fight with Ravana.

Why Sundays in particular?

Each day of the week is associated with one God, according to astrology. Saturdays are dedicated to Shani Deva, while Tuesdays are dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Similarly, Lord Surya is honoured on Sunday, or Ravi-Vaar (Ravi being his other name).

And what better day to thank him and ask for his blessings than his birthday? Though there is no such thing as a “correct” time to memorise God. On Sundays, though, it is recommended to repeat it at dawn. It’s also important to remember to avoid salt, wheat, and alcohol when saying it.

We understand that it is difficult at first. Its aura, though, will be the greatest you’ve ever experienced after you become proficient. Offer your gratitude and thanks to Lord Surya. However, don’t forget to be solicitous and ask him to bless you with strength and spirituality in your life.
