Arcangel Net Worth 2024: Know His Age, Height, and Personal Life
Austin Agustín Santos, better known as Arcangel, is a major player in Latin music, particularly in the reggaeton subgenre. His rhythmic flow, distinctive voice, and adaptable musical approach have held audiences spellbound for decades. His musical accomplishments are well-known, but his admirers and the general public are always wondering about his age, net worth, and height.
The son of Dominican immigrants, Arcangel came into this world in New York City’s East Harlem neighborhood on December 23, 1985. Maybe Arcangel’s early interest in music stems from his mother, Carmen Rosa, who was a part of the famous merengue ensemble “Las Chicas del Can.” As a child in a culturally diverse household, he heard a wide range of musical styles, including reggaeton, a newer genre that was gaining traction in the early 2000s. Career
As a member of the reggaeton duo Arcángel & De La Ghetto, Arcángel launched his professional music career in 2004. Baby Records, a label under Universal Music Group, signed them in the end. “Ven y Pégate,” a single by Arcángel & De La Ghetto, became a smash hit in 2006 and was featured on the reggaeton album “Sangre Nueva.” Other compilation albums that year included their music, including “Mas Flow: Los Benjamins.” Arcángel & De La Ghetto were prolific reggaeton performers but never put out a full-length album. In late 2006, Arcángel decided to go solo and established his own record label, Flow Factory, after leaving Baby Records. As the new year began, he and De La Ghetto ended their relationship.
After breaking up with De La Ghetto, Arcángel kept popping up on compilation albums. “Flow la Discoteka 2,” DJ Nelson’s 2007 production, stands out among the others. “Chica Virtual,” by Arcángel, was a smash hit on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and was featured on the album. The long-awaited first album “El Fenómeno” was finally published by Arcángel in late 2008. With guest appearances from Tempo, Don Omar, and J-King, the album peaked at number fourteen on the Top Latin Albums list and became the vehicle for the songs “Por Amar a Ciegas” and “Pa’ Que la Pases Bien.” Not long after the album’s release, Arcángel embarked on a world tour, performing in nations as diverse as Denmark, France, Spain, and Germany.
As the new year began, Arcángel dropped his mixtape “The Problem Child.” “Optimus A.R.C.A.” was his second mixtape of the year, which he dropped later on. The next year, Arcángel’s album “Sentimiento, Elegancia & Maldad” was published through Pina Records, a company he signed within 2012. The album peaked at number one on the Latin Albums chart, becoming his most commercially successful album to date. Included in Arcángel’s subsequent albums are “Ares,” “Historias de un Capricornio,” and “Sr. Santos.” The Latin smash “La Jumpa,” featuring Bad Bunny, was born from the most recent album, which came out in 2022.
As an artist in his own right, Arcángel has also contributed as a featured musician on the works of several other musicians. Voltio, Yag & Mackie, Daddy Yankee, J. Alvarez, Farruko, Don Omar, Ozuna, Anitta, and Maluma are just a few of the many musicians whose songs he has contributed to. His featured artist chart-toppers include “Algo Musical,” “Caliente,” “Si No Te Quiere (Remix),” “La Ocasión,” “Tu No Vive Así,” and “Ahora Dice.”
