Continuing in her political father’s footsteps, Jessica Schumer is a Harvard College graduate and the first daughter of Chuck Schumer. Before her tenure as chief of staff and general counsel ended in 2015, she had been a member of the White House Economic Advisers’ Council (CEA). Michael Shapiro, with whom Jessica had worked at the CEA from 2011 to 2013, was Jessica’s husband in 2016. They were blessed with a son, Noah Melvin Schumer-Shapiro, on November 24, 2018.
