Starting out as a general assignment reporter for NBC4 in 1984, Colleen was moved to weekend news anchor in 1987. She joined the NBC4 morning news teams in 1992 and has been there ever since.

Before relocating to Columbus, Colleen was an anchor/reporter at radio stations in Wheeling and Weirton, West Virginia. She had previously worked at WTRF-TV in Wheeling, W.Va. She held the positions of writer, producer, and editor for a Pittsburgh radio station that focused solely on news.
