Article Rating 3.8/5

Breakups leave us feeling a feeling of void. We want the hurt of a breakup to pass quickly. But just like everything else in life, recovering from heartbreak is a process that takes time. Occasionally rapid, other times slow. But the age-old query, “Will I ever forget my lover?” still stands.

These 6 realistic strategies could help you sail through this bad time:-

Take a Step Back

Breakups are challenging to manage. Taking a break is the first action you can ever take. Go on a break.  I am aware of how awful it feels. But occasionally, life requires more of us, and the only way to survive is to give it a chance. It requires tenacity and bravery. Taking a step back and persevering is always the first step in any healing process.

Stop Revisiting Those Memories

Memories are made when we are close to someone. And after they are gone, we find ourselves going back to those memories. Songs, eateries, roads, and all other places come to haunt us. You will feel the want to call or go back no matter the reason for your breakup. In this stage, a lot of individuals lose up and go back, only to discover that memories were significantly better than reality. Your favourite locations will serve as a catalyst.

Stop going to all those particular places, listening to all those specific tunes, etc. Visit new locations and make new memories. Everything will be rewritten in the brain. You’ll be all right.

Stop Checking Their Social Media Profiles

Can you accept your breakup and quit checking your social media profiles? Can you please at least temporarily block your ex on all social media sites? Observing what they are doing accomplishes nothing and will only ruin your day. That adorable Instagram post will simply intensify your feelings and increase your sense of helplessness.

Treat yourself with kindness. Leave his social media accounts alone and carry on.

Avoid SEX with Your ex After a Breakup

This is an absolutely NO. whatever the quality of the sex. Don’t sleep with him if you two are no longer together. Your pain will only become worse. The issue with most women is that we have a hard time keeping sex and love in two separate compartments. Only the good old days will come to mind, and intimacy will be desired.

There are some things that are best left alone. Also let his body go. You’ll be able to forget him and recover more quickly as a result.

Take up Something New

Pick up some paper. Write about the things you are afraid to do (or loved doing but never did). Perhaps bungee jumping or travelling alone? then carry it out. Nothing broadens us as much as taking on a challenge that we initially dismissed as not being our cup of tea.

Once you accomplish what you previously believed was impossible, you are given new skies to fly in and transform into a new person. Breakups are frequently the best opportunities to discover our true selves. Because hardship always serves to broaden us.

Stay in Touch With Your Supportive People

We can never emphasise enough the power of your close friends and family. Keep company with those that inspire you. Remain close to those that appreciate you for who you are. somebody you may forget your entire history with.

Keep in touch with those who care about you and want the best for you. You become what those around you perceive in you when they do. especially when you’re at your lowest point emotionally. Look for those who will support you. You’ll get there faster and maintain your emotional stability.

Once you’ve recovered, you won’t find the past to be all that appealing; instead, the new roads will seem more interesting. So, Go out and live your life.
