When to Janmashtami 2023 celebrate ?

This year, Krishna Janmashtami 2023 will be celebrated on both the 06th and 07th of September, with the fast taking place on the 07 September. This is because, as per several well-known astrologers, the Ashtami tithi will be Udaya tithi on September 06th.

It is important to note that this year, the Rohini nakshatra, under which Lord Krishna was born, does not fall on Ashtami tithi.

What to eat for fasting on the day of Janmashtami 2023?

Fasting rules related to Janmashtami 2023 are similar to those of  Navratri Fast.

So, let’s look at some food things that you can eat during your Janmashtami 2023 fast.

Kuttu Ki Puri

Kuttu puri is extremely crispy, fluffy, and flavorful. For a more full meal, load them with a potato mixture. To create this, simply prepare dough with kuttu ka atta and sendha namak. Roll a few puris in with a rolling pin and cook till crispy.

Sabudana Khichdi
