He played football in high school and went to Cerritos College after overcoming childhood polio with the help of his mom. Using the Night Stalker Mustang, John Force began his career in funny car racing in 1971. Until 1993, he settled on the Oldsmobile Cutlass after navigating a number of different vehicles. He briefly worked for Ford, but ultimately returned to Chevrolet with a bang.
