Kalki Jayanti is the commemoration and honoring of the forthcoming tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the Sanatan Dharam, Kalki, the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, will come to earth at the conclusion of the Kali Yug to eradicate evil and establish good and restart the cycle of time. It is believed that the Kali Yuga began when Lord Krishna departed his body and that the Kalki himself will write its conclusion. Not only is Kalki Avatar mentioned in Hindu religious texts, but it is also described in Christianity and Islam.
According to Christianity, Masiha will return to Earth to restore the entire universe. In Islam, Mehdi is the appellation given to Kalki Avatar.

Rituals of Kalki Jayanti
- On the occasion of Kalki Jayanti, people observe an all-day fast.
- 108 times of the Narayana Mantra, Vishnu Sahasranama, and other mantras are chanted in order to obtain the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
- When initiating the fast, the devotees recite the Beej mantra, which is then followed by the Puja.
- The deities’ statues are cleaned with water and Panchamrit.
- Chanted are the numerous names of Lord Vishnu.
- On the day of Kalki Jayanti, it is essential to feed the Brahmins.
Significance of Kalki Jayanti
On this day, devotees meditate and beg Lord Vishnu for forgiveness for any wrongdoings or offences they may have committed. It is believed that praising Lord Vishnu will lead to a prosperous life. It is one of Lord Kalki’s most terrifying manifestations, and it signifies the end of the human race on this planet. The mission of Kalki is to deliver the people from godlessness and restore Dharma.
The eradication of greed and lust for power will herald in a New Age in which people are devoted to one another and love reigns supreme.
