She and her spouse went into business together, with her husband focusing on educational software design.
She longed to have her voice heard in public discourse and had a great deal of enthusiasm for writing and political commentary.
She developed a website in 2012 to draw attention to the need to stop advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show after the host made offensive remarks about Sandra Fluke, a famous American lawyer and feminist activist.
