Career
He competed in BBQ Pitmasters in 2009, a reality show that follows barbecue chefs as they take part in events for cash and prizes.
Myron joined Warren Sapp and Art Smith as one of the three judges beginning with the second series.
“Smokin’ with Myron Mixon” was the title of Mixon’s debut book, which was published on May 10, 2011. Myron includes more than seventy-five recipes in the book.
Also that year, he competed as a chef on The Ultimate BBQ Showdown.
He continued his winning streak in 2012 in the Big Pig Jig Grand Champion BBQ cooking competition in Vienna, Georgia, where he had previously won twice.
