During the nine-day celebration of Navratri 2023, Maa Durga or Shakti is worshipped, which stands for the triumph of good over evil.
During the nine days of Navratri, worshippers worship each of Maa Durga’s nine avatars. In addition, they offer Navratri prasad during their prayers.

9 Different Prasad for Navratri 2023
Day 1 – Desi Ghee
On the first day of Navratri, worshippers worship Maa Shailputri, the incarnation of Maa Durga. They present pure desi ghee at the goddess Shailputri’s feet. It is believed that an offering of pure desi ghee will grant the recipient a life free of disease and illness.
Day 2 – Sugar
The devotees worship Maa Brahmacharini on the second day. They offer the goddess Brahmacharini a prasad of sugar and seek her blessings.
Day 3 – Kheer
On the third day of Navratri, Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped with Kheer. By serving kheer as prasad to this incarnation of the goddess Durga, devotees seek her blessings.
Day 4 – Malpua
The devotees of Maa Durga worship Maa Kushmanda on the fourth day of Navratri. They present Malpua to the Goddess as bhog, recite shlokas, and pray for success and happiness in their life.
Day 5 – Banana
Maa Skandmata is worshipped on the fifth day of the nine-day celebration. Bananas are offered as bhog to the Goddess. It is said to keep the devotees in good health.
Day 6 – Honey
On the sixth day of the auspicious event, devotees present honey as prasad to Goddess Katyayani.
Day 7 – Jaggery
Maa Kaalratri is presented with jaggery or jaggery-based sweets as bhog on the seventh day of Navratri. This prasad is also given to Brahmins.
Day 8 – Coconut
On the eighth day of Navratri, Goddess Mahagauri, another incarnation of Maa Durga, is offered coconut as prasad. On Ashtami, it is popularly believed that giving coconuts to Brahmins will bring prosperity and happiness.
Day 9 – Til
On the ninth day of Navratri, devotees pray and fast for the blessings of Maa Siddhidatri. They offer a bhog of til or sesame seeds to the Goddess.
