Pete started working as a reserve infantry officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked as an equities capital markets analyst at Bear Stearns after graduating from Princeton. As a member of the Minnesota National Guard, he served as an infantry platoon leader at Guantánamo Bay in 2004. Subsequently, he held similar positions in Baghdad and Samarra, and in Samarra, he was a civil-military operations officer.
