Significance of Raksha Bandhan
Raksha Bandhan has gorgeous connotations and significance. It commemorates and strengthens the affectionate relationship between brothers and sisters. The sibling promises to protect his sister in all circumstances, while the sister prays for his well-being. Numerous tales are associated with this occasion, but the most significant is that of Lord Krishna and Draupadi.
Once, Lord Krishna cuts his fingertip and begins to haemorrhage. Draupadi, his closest friend, is blind to this and rips a piece of fabric from her saree and ties it to her finger. Later, when Duhshasan attempts to disrobe Draupadi during the heinous act of Cheerharan, Krishna fulfils his pledge and protects her with his powers.
