Becoming a VJ on MTV in 1995 brought Rex his greatest level of fame to that point. After more than two years in that capacity, he made the switch to acting. In 1999, Rex was a mainstay on “Jack & Jill,” had a guest appearance on “Felicity,” and had a brief stint on the sitcom “Katie Joplin.” The WB was the home for all of the shows.
