During her senior year of high school, Garr tried out for a touring company of “West Side Story.” It was then that she met David Winters, an actor, dancer, and choreographer, who went on to use her for a number of projects, including a handful of Elvis Presley films. After making her cinematic debut in 1963’s “A Swingin’ Affair,” Teri went on to perform uncredited dancing roles in films such as “Kissin’ Cousins” (1964), “Viva Las Vegas” (1964), “What a Way to Go!” (1964), “Red Line 7000” (1965), and “Clambake” (1967).
