Significance of Yantrodharaka Hanuman Stotra
Daily, Sri Vyasarajathirtharu [Vyasarayaru] would meditate on the banks of the River Tungabhadra. One day, he envisioned an image of Lord Hanuman while meditating. This occurred exclusively at that location and nowhere else. Next time, he sketched this Hanumaan image on a rock. To his surprise, a monkey sprang from the rock and jumped away, while his drawing vanished. This occurred twelve times. Every time a monkey would come to life and leap away, his drawing would vanish. Finally, he drew a Yantra around the image to prevent the monkey from escaping the rock. Please view the highlighted image. He imprisoned Lord Hanumaan within the Yantra. Here, Lord Hanumaan is seen seated within the Yantra. This is where he composed the well-known Yanthroddharaka Hanuman sthothram.
